Behavioral Health

Behavioral Health Services are available and include individual, family, couples, and group therapy. In addition, mental health services provide psychological and psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and consult with other divisions to provide coordinated care.

Our professional staff includes clinical psychologists, postdoctoral psychologists, substance use counselors, and marriage and family therapists. Special emphasis is placed on providing services in a culturally sensitive manner.

Behavioral Health

We offer outpatient mental health therapy for children, youth, adults, and families, including crisis response, pediatric tele-psychiatry, adult psychiatric medication management, and peer support. Trauma Informed outpatient mental health and substance use disorder services that include treatment, awareness, prevention and outreach. Our services also include:

Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counseling offers a variety of options for adults and adolescents. Services include substance abuse evaluations, individual and group treatments, AA meetings, and DUI School (Levels I, II, II-X, and III).

Referrals are coordinated for eligible clients/patients who need residential inpatient and detoxification treatment.

Program staff works closely with the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony Tribal Court and local-regional federal, state, municipal, and justice courts.

Program staff collaborates or refers to other RSIC programs and non-profit agencies, such as Nevada Urban Indians Inc., Indian Health Board of Nevada, and Intertribal Council of Nevada.
