Laurence Gay, M.D.

Laurence Gay earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Claremont Men’s (now Claremont McKenna) College in 1979 and went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Kansas in 1983. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Highland General Hospital in Oakland, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California, Davis. Dr. Gay further specialized by completing fellowship training in Geriatrics through joint programs at UC Davis and the University of California, San Francisco.

A National Merit Scholarship winner, Dr. Gay is board certified and recertified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. He has been practicing in Reno since October 1992, dedicating most of his career to serving patients in long-term care facilities. With decades of clinical experience and a deep commitment to geriatric health, Dr. Gay continues to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to older adults in the community.
