Madilynne Cox earned her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, both from the University of Nevada, Reno. While there, she also served as Community Outreach Chair for the Master’s of Public Health Society.
Her professional experience began with epidemiological research for Nevada’s Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System and community health policy work with the American Heart Association.
She went on to lead grant program outreach at the San Diego American Indian Health Center, later advancing to direct the Substance Abuse Prevention, Treatment and Aftercare Program. In that role, she managed all aspects of the program and delivered community trainings, including QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) suicide prevention training.
As Diabetes Program Manager, Madilynne draws on this foundation in program development, budget oversight, and community health strategy. She leads diabetes prevention and care initiatives with programming grounded in nutrition, physical activity, and patient-centered outcomes
