Tara Van Orden, DMD, MPH

Dr. Van Orden earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University and later completed a Master of Public Health at the University of Nevada, Reno.

She is a general dentist dedicated to advancing oral health in the communities she serves. For 21 years, Dr. Van Orden worked at the Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center as both a staff dentist and Chief Dental Officer. She was recently promoted to Phoenix Area Dental Officer, where she helps lead efforts to improve oral health outcomes for more than 120,000 Native American and Alaska Native individuals. A strong advocate for the connection between oral health and overall wellness, she is committed to providing high-quality, comprehensive, and lasting dental care.

In her free time, Dr. Van Orden enjoys reading, watching British mysteries, and volunteering with family and animal outreach programs.
